My cousin and I just booked some ridiculous, last minute flights to Houston for tomorrow.
We might rent a couple bikes and head down to Austin for a day, maybe catch the football game.
Anything we have to do while we’re there?
Pic I took of origin city for attention

Food. Take advantage of the food. Maybe try and hit up the Salt Lick while in Austin. Might be a long wait time but it’s worth it.
Edit: I’ll be more specific. I’m a big lover of fajitas. You can’t go wrong with Lupe Tortilla or Soto’s Cantina.

You don’t have to go all the way to Austin for football. Rice has a home game against Baylor.

Big IMSA and WEC races going on at COTA just outside of Austin these next few days. That’s where I’ll be!

Gumbo Bar in Galveston
Seawolf park is also in Galveston, they have some cool ships to walk through.
There is also the USS Texas in a different park, a New York class battleship.

Austin is about 2.5 hours away. Galveston is just an hour away. Between Houston and Galveston is the Space Center. Galveston has good food, ships and a submarine at Seawolf Park, and glass pyramids housing a rainforest at Moody Gardens. If you don’t want to drive and like museums, the Houston Museum of Natural Science is pretty amazing.
I think there is more to do if you go south instead of northwest.

We want to check out some tourist things in the day and party like rockstars at night.
Austin just seemed like a good idea because it would be a decent ride on some rented Harleys, and I’ve heard it’s an awesome party town.

I’ll try to stop by! Working...so depending on what’s happening with our cars I may or may not make it.

If the goal is to ride motorcycles, Austin has the better terrain for it. It’s called the Hill Country for a reason. It’s better suited to sport bikes than cruisers.
Austin is known for its music scene. You may not be rock stars, but you can go see some future ones.

Never went to a Rice game, but I can't imagine the atmosphere being that... great. Yet didn't they host a Super Bowl or something 273 years ago?

Touché, already sounds more fun than Husker games.
